Hanover Cottage

Hanover Cottage

A small redundant barn and stables within a courtyard.  This was converted to a two bedroom house with existing high level ceiling in the sitting room exposing the original beams.  Much repair had to be carried out as these buildings were in a near-collapsed state.  The Client did not think that a conversion was possible. In the course of repair and rebuilding a high level of insulation was used and an air source heat pump system to provide hot water and heating was installed.  No gas supply was available and environmental considerations were paramount.
