The client wanted a large pool with a slide and raised area for jumping in (not diving) by children.
The depth had to be considered at this point. No fibreglass pool was made of sufficient size so it was constructed in blockwork with a plastic liner. Position of the pool was only allowed within the curtilage of the domestic property by the Council which caused an initial problem both for access and due to the slope of the ground.
The client had not wanted it too close to the house or obstruction the view to the pond at the end of the garden. With a security type cover safety was assured when not in use. Heating was by air source heat pump and special control over the waterfall to make sure the pump only worked when the cover was retracted.
Despite Covid problems the work was carried out during restrictions and open for the summer as planned.
